Remember 2 channel TV? by Ken Dunn on 12 February 2017 4:29am

I've spent ages listing my over 100 satellite TV channels and haven't done my Freeview ones yet. Does anyone remember the 2 channel TV system (BBC and ITV) and if you do can you think of a good reason why today there are over 100 different channels available for each of 4 different systems (satellite, Freeview, computer and pay per view?) Oh, and I forgot some mobile phone capabilities, so that's 5.

There are some similarly dated comments in Palinstravels Big Green Joke Book.

Mr Palin to the rescue! I've found Brazil showing on Yesterday channel for a long while today. A series worth watching a few times. That's the adverts finished so more of the same.

Did they show the whole series, Ken?

I think so suzulu because every time I went to the channel Brazil was there. They may even have shown the series twice as the first episode I saw earlier in the day seemed to be the last in the series.

The Durrells - a great drama ruined by some mumbling actors. This acting technique seems to be endemic in some programmes.
