What's the weather like where you are now? by ev on 15 March 2007 10:52pm

So, what's the weather like where you are now?

Try to be as descriptive/poetic/imaginative as possible.. :)

Here (in a medieval town about an hour south of Stuttgart) it's about 6°C at the moment, no frogs are currently falling from the heavens, and the smell of Spring is distinctly starting to become detectable. There have also been no outbreaks of the Black Death within the last few hours.

Tucson, Arizona is sunny 30 Celsius and dry. There is not a cloud anywhere.
Flowers are starting to bloom in the desert.
Getting too hot to see rattlesnakes and javelinas at mid day.

Chicago, Illinois is not as warm as it has been. Monday and Tuesday were glorious moments full of warm wind and sunshine. Since then, the temperature has fallen to a balmy 40 degrees Farenheit. It saddens me. It is supposed to rain and although I enjoyed the warm weather, there is something about the impending storm of slight rain shower that makes me happy.

Weather in the Northern Vancouver Island area is a cool 8 degrees, with a skin-cancer free sky and a scattered sprinkling of life-giving moisture. The wind is fresh and clean off the eastern shores bringing the promise of a welcome spring. Humidity is a comfortable 76%, moist enough that emollient skin cream is an unecessary film of chemical benevolence.

The mellow mauve, pretty plum and bold violet Crocus are in full bloom, and eager deciduous trees are beginning to bud. Sunny Daffodils deter the deer foraging the new plant growth in the garden, as they provocatively strut in place. Mild as their scent is, the Primrose make known their florid, multi-coloured illumination of a lovely piece of earth.

One can hear the seafood begging for invitation to dinner as benign weather allows small craft to venture offshore, through the creamy tarter-sauce foam. The calm of quiet forested areas only broken by the sounds of small birds and animals copulating to get an early start on their contribution to the gene pool.
