Lots of stuff by johnrainbow@onetel.com on 2 January 2010 8:31pm

Hi,
New to this and have a few bits.
1. Just finished watching the Hemingway series again. Loved it again after not seeing it for 10 years.
2. If Michael is returning to the best bits as per the Dhow crossing, how about an update on the 3 gorges dam. Just a thought - i though the Chinese part of Full circle was the best episode by far of that series.
3. I am sure i saw a return to the shiwa Ngandu but don't remember which series or (just in case it wasnt Mr Palin) who did it. Anyone know?
4. I hope Mr Palin has one more series in him before he retires. Like everyone, i've travelled a little but feel reassured about seeing him still going places and educating us on the art of going places properly.
Not sure if there are any answers to these questions but feel the need to share.

John

Hi John. Welcome to Palinstravels. I can't answer your questions but most of us, if not all, would love to see another sseries by Michael. we aren't asking for anything rigorous. After all, he's no spring chicken. But we certainy hope he tackles some other interesting locations, and SOON!

Patty~ Maryland, USA

P.S. Where do you live?

Hello Johnrainbow. Welcome to the site. I wrote to Michael Palins fanclub and suggested that he travel to the Islands of the Carribbean, I've been to a few myself and love how they are all striving to distinguish themselves from the others. Maybe we should all drop a line to the fan club and suggest a new travel spot for him.

Hi, Thanks for the warm welcomes. No worries about answers, it was jsut nice to share. I am from Norwich in Norfolk in the UK.
I wonder if Michael can do some mini trips. There are a few pretenders out there doing programmes but they either spend the whole programme swearing or are a bit dull so i hope he does something new. Nice when he slips a little python gag in now and again. Not many others can do that...
