Hmm ...

If your mom is a book lover, how about an antique book? Is she interested in local history? For Christmas, I got my dad a couple books on the history of our city. They had tons of old photographs, and he loved it. If your hometown has a local historical society, they might be able to recommend something.

Speaking of pictures ... How about a photo album full of pics of her pride and joy(s), you and any siblings you might have? Or, if you don't have time for that, you can try a really nice, framed photo of yourself. Along the same lines, you can do a collage (sp?) of pictures.

When I'm REALLY stuck of a gift, I create a coupon book. One Free Dinner Out. One Free House Cleaning. You can use your imagination that way, and except for buying her a meal, it won't even cost you all that much.

Hope that helps!

Well Sarah, I recon I'd love a day of pampering. Either inexpensively at home (meal cooked, help with home beauty products etc.) or vouchers towards a day or half day at a spa. Linz : )

Sarah spaking as a mum we're never bored of anything from our kids. It's the effort put in and the fact that it's from you :)

Saying that...meals out are always a winner there's nothing like not having to cook!!! Or maybe treat her to the hairdressers? I'm with you Linz :)

But...be careful if she's on a diet!

How about her fave perfume - or if a tad expensive, something in the range?

And flowers are always good - or a plant even.

Whatever you choose, be sure to pamper her and tell her how much you love her. I lost my Mum 5 years ago (ok, she was 87 and I was 48 but it makes no difference).
