Linda - see my entry on 'OMG MIKE TODAY'! We went to Worcester instead, so that we had two chances of seeing him. Both places are about 50 miles from us, but not far apart.

My advice to you is - go at least a couple of hours early! The queue was massive by the time MP got there, we arrived about 10 past 10 for a half past 12 signing and were fairly near the front.

Ottakars gave out drinks of water every so often - and brought round tins of Quality Street and Heroes too! 3 or 4 tins had gone round before MP arrived! I wonder if that was Ottakars idea or Michael's!

He was wearing a sky blue shirt.

Hope you get to meet him in December!

Best wishes,

Anne

I went to Solihull yesterday. They gave out 300 tickets to people who had bought the book. I was lucky to have be given No. 291 however Michael was ONLY signing copies of Himalaya as more people had turned out than expected!

Still, I am very happy to meet the man again (briefly met him at the Sarara book signing) and get the book signed (so many thanks Mr P)

Saw MP yesterday at "Books Etc" in Solihull. The signing was set for 5pm-6pm and by 3pm there was approx 60 people in the queue (after buying the book and joining the queue I was 68). Mr P began signing early, at 4.30 simply because the queue had extended so far through the Touchwood Centre (and outside the doors too). By the time I had shuffled inside the shop the queue just to buy the book was probably 20 strong). Anyway, it was great to meet the man himself, and I gave him a present of a railway-locomotive mug which he seemed to like.

Have fun everyone.
